Darkness In Architecture: Projects I & II

Spring 2013

An investigation into how I could visually express my personal experience of claustrophobia, my original model captures the moment at which psychological space disrupts mental stability so severely that perception of reality begins to break. The following project looks at the destruction of this model on a time scale; fictionalizing the psychological fear as a virus that grows, intercepts, and destroys the pristine cube of mental stability. This is shown in an illustrative time lapse drawing as well as a more expressive photogram//painting composite piece.
